Mary "LaShonda" Webber (Lathon) was born and raised in Coushatta, Louisiana. Mary graduated from Coushatta High, and later earned a Bachelor’s degree from LSU-S earned a Master’s in Business Administration (with a Human Resources concentration) from Colorado Technical University. She pursued her doctorate degree from Capella University in Organizational Development, and is currently a student at the Shepard Broad School of Law, for a 2nd Masters in Employment Law.
While residing in the Shreveport/Bossier Area, Mary has worked as an Adjunct Professor at both BPCC and LSU-Shreveport. She has worked for numerous businesses in the Shreveport/Bossier area in various industries.
Mary moved to the state of Michigan in 2014 for a job opportunity as Employee Relations Director and Interim Vice President of Human Resources, leading 3400+ employees. While in Michigan, Mary launched her HR consulting business, L & R Human Resource Consulting, LLC.
With 25 years in the field of business and HR, Mary is recognized as an expert in the field of Human Resources, earning two certificates and a SHRM certification further establishing her knowledge and skills in the field of Human Resources.
Mary is also the published author of “Miracles Still Happen…Trust Me”, found in Barnes & Noble stores, Wal-Mart, Amazon and Audible.com. She is a devout Christian and very involved with her family and community. If you ask Mary what she likes most, she will share that she loves spending time with family and empowering individuals to never give up. Mary’s hobbies include community service activities, and reading self-help and business literature books. A favorite scripture that is dear to Mary’s heart is: “Let all that you do be done in love.” – 1 Corinthians 16:14
